Rope Awareness

Never place your body, feet, legs, arms, or hand in the loop of a line or rope. It is your responsibility to inspect all ropes and lines on the vessel before the vessel departs from the dock for the voyage and during the trip. Report any rope or line you believe to be unsafe. Never stand near a rope or line under stress. Ropes and lines can break, causing serious injury. Never place your body, hands, feet, or legs in a rope loop. If you are unsure about rope safety speak to your captain before the voyage begins.
